On my last trip home to visit my family, my sister and I had a girl's only trip for a couple of days

to a lovely area called the Sunshine Coast

This picture was taken from a BC Ferry on the way to Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast.  To give you an idea of what it was like staying in this area, this is what my sister and I woke up to our

first morning there

Now the quilting shops.  The main one I visited in Gibsons, BC as Carola's Quilt Shop - www.carola.ca.  Although a small store, it had a nice mix of fabrics from your traditional prints to your brights.  The staff were very friendly and informative.  Well worth a stop by as you make your journey through to Powell River, BC.
