To begin with,
check out the Ballarat Patchwork's website www.ballaratpatchwork.com.au . The website
will give you all their contact and address details.
Fabric wise,
heavy on the Moda, Kaye Fasett and Amy Butler fabric. For those of you
who've ready my previous blogs these aren't my favourite fabrics so I
didn't end up buying anything. For those of you who do like these
ranges, lots to choose from. And they have a reasonably extensive range
of patterns as well.
You'll find the shop in a converted house
(For those who are from Wellington, New Zealand and/or have been there, think
converted villa you would see in Tinakori Road, like Nancy Embroidery's
old store). It's very compact but the owner has done a lovely job of
decorating the house. Fabric is easy to pull out and look at. And
let's not forget what I think was a lovely touch, the resident cat. Had
to laugh when the owner's cat popped out from under a table as the
customer's went past. That was definitely a first for me.
Overall, well worth a stop when you're in Ballarat next.
